May 18, 2008 - The last profession of vows in Komorow.
Our three sisters: Sr. Agnieszka Rudzka, Sr. Jana Aneta Morzyc, and Sr. Weronika Barbara Szczurzewska professed their final vows today. The celebration took place at 12:30 p.m. at The Birth of Mary church in Komorow. It was also the day of the Holy Trinity.
Many guests participated in that special occasion: families and friends of professing sisters and sisters from many communities. Eight priests accompanied the whole celebration with the main celebrant, Fr. Jakub Szczesniak from Laski.
We wished the professed sisters the joyful and faithful following of Jesus in consecrated life.
Formation gatherings in April The one day formation gathering for the employees of the school, kindergartens, and social-theraputic center took place in Bialystok (April 2nd), Lublin (April 9th), and Komorow (April 23rd). All meetings were initiated by our congregation under the direction of Fr. Eugeniusz Spiolek.
Under the direction of their teacher, Krzysztof Dlugolecki, four graders from the elementary school #94 in Warsaw-Wlochy organized the live auction to help the orphaned children from the House of Divine Providence in Lusaca-Chawama, Zambia; the orphanage is run by the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family. The children were able to raise 1,000 zloty.
We thank the children for their missionary zeal and compassionate hearts. We extend our gratitude toward the teacher and the parents who helped in this beautiful fundraiser. May the gifts given to the needy children bring God's blessings and joy.
April 27,2008 - the Orthodox church celebrates Easter. To all Orthodox Christians, we wish many blessings and graces from the Risen Lord.
We inform all who do taxes that one percent of the tax could be transferred to the organization helping the development of the grade school named after Bl. Boleslawa in Bialystok; it's a school run by Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family. We encourage you to support our school and appreciate every penny.
Vocational trip to Makow Mazowiecki The junior sisters with their mistress sister, Sr. Boleslawa Wierzchowska, went to Makow to St. Albert Chmielowski parish. Sisters participated in the Eucharist by reading the intercession prayers, the readings, and singing.
On April 15, sisters taught religion classes in grade and high school. Sister Tarsycja Krupinska, our missionary sister from Zambia, joined sisters in teaching religion classes.
April 13, 2008 - Good Shepherd Sunday. We started a week of prayers for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. For that occasion, the Holy Father, Benedict the XVI wrote a special letter to all the faithful - "A Vocation in the service to Missionary Church."
April 9, 2008 - religious Camp in Lublin at KUL (a Catholic University). Sister Roza Naskret, Sr. Imelda Deptula, Sr. Agnieszka Rudzka, and sisters from our convent in Lublin represented our congregation.
March 25, 2008 - Our General Mother, M. Weronika Mackiewicz, went to Africa to visit all our convents under the African Delegature.
March 23,2008 - EASTER SUNDAY. We wish all who visit our site the joyous meeting of the Risen Lord. May His grace be a source of strength in following Him.
March 20, 2008 - HOLY THURSDAY. We reminded ourselves about Jesus' prayer during the Last Supper - Jesus' testament and our congregation's charisma.
News from NIDZICA. During Lent, Sr. Samuela Halina Grygo and Mrs. Jadwiga Lubinska prepared a religious play "I look for a friend"; this play was based on "A Little Prince" written by Brygida Gucwa. A group of 16 children from grade school #1 in Nidzica belonging to parishes of the Blessed Mother and St. Wojciech participated in that play. Children presented their program 6 times including parish of Blessed Boleslawa Lament.

During Lent, sisters followed through many apostolic initiatives. Sister Catechists actively participated in organizing Lenten retreats in parishes. In Rozan, Sr. Kornelia Chmielowska organized the annual play called "Miriam from Magdala." The play was put on a few times in the City's House of Culture. In Bialystok, Sr. Alina Krol, together with her students, prepared the play "Passion." It was played a few times in various places including the parish in Czarna Bialostocka and the hospice.
March 8, 2008 - Dedication of the chapel in our grade school on Dobra Street in Bialystok. The chapel was named after the Mother of God, the Queen of Poland.
Feb. 22-24, 2008 - Formational and educational gathering of our sister superiors from Poland and the East Delegature. The meeting took place in the sanctuary of Bl. Boleslawa Lament in Bialystok. The main topic was the interpersonal communication.
During winter break, our congregation organized retreat for the youth in Bialystok, Chelmno, Ketrzyn, and Komorow.
02-02-08 - the feast of Presentation of the Lord and Day of Consecrated People. In union with all consecrated people, we thanked God for calling us to His service in religious life. If possible, we participated in the Eucharist in cathedrals of dioceses where we work.
01-29-08 - Liturgical feast of Blessed Boleslawa. At 5p.m. in Bialystok's sanctuary, Archbishop Stanislaw Szymecki celebrated holy mass on the intention of canonization of Mother Foundress. Three days before the feast, Fr. Tadeusz Zadnuk presided in a special triduum of prayers. Everyday, Fr. Tadeusz preached a conference about Mother Boleslawa. Many people living in Bialystok participated in celebrations; many more than in previous years. All our communities participated in holy masses offered on intention of canonization of our mother. In many situations, they were celebrated in local parishes. The faithful had the opportunity to pray through intercession of Blessed Boleslawa and adore her relics.
The holy mass celebrated at the cathedral in Warsaw-Praga deserves special mentioning. The mass was initiated by Catholic Action; afterwards, the wreath was laid by the plaque mentioning all the charitable works done by mother in that section of Warsaw.
Jan. 18-25, 2008 - Week of Prayers for the Unity of Christians. In our communities, we pray more zealously for the gift of unity. We try to participate in the official ecumenical gatherings as well as try to initiate some. This year ecumenical week celebrates 100th birthday.
The Story about Blessed Boleslawa for children. A new book written by Ewa Skarzynska, "For Children - About Polish Saints", was printed by the diocese edition office in Sandomierz. The author tells stories about 84 Polish saints, blessed, and God's servants; among them, there is also a story about our mother -Blessed Boleslawa Lament.
01-08-08 - The long awaited community in Tanzania finally was opened. Dar es Salaam is a city located in eastern part of that country by Indian Ocean; it's the largest city with the port. It's also an administrative center of the region Pwani; it consists of 2.5 million people. Until 1981, Dar es Salaam was the capital of Tanzania. With opening of that community, the works in Africa are stretched to another country. The following sisters will start the new card of existence on Tanzanian land: Sr. Berta Chilese, Sr. Tacjana Perszon, Sr. Lilien Makena, and Sr. Karen Kaemba. We wish them the great zeal in missionary service following the footsteps of Mother Foundress - Blessed Boleslawa.

01-06-08 - Six sisters in Zambia said their first vows: Sr. Benedicta Magdalene Waiu, Sr. Charity Mwansa Chanda, Sr. Fides Kawira Karimi, Sr. Jeniffer Kinya, Sr. Karen Mubanga Kaemba, and Sr. Pauline Ngwira.
01-06-08 - The feast of Epiphany. It's a congregation day of prayer for the unity of Christ's church and for all mission intentions.
We are receiving disturbing news from Kenya. After the last presidential elections, there is a violent disturbance. About 30 people died burned alive in the church in West Kenya; people tried to hide there from forceful attacks. We pray for peace in that country and for safety of our sisters working there.
01-01-08 - New Year. With God's help, through intercession of God's Mother, we walk into new time. We wish all God's blessings for new year.
